I am seriously about to cry over a stupid video game.  I tested and tested and my crashes are random.  So I have no clue what to take out to make my Sims 2 work.  It'll be fine for varying lengths of time and then BOOM.  I'm just going to save a lot so I can get through the Magicakes and then pare my downloads folder of most of the stuff I use for

That sucks! I just got back into playing and had something very similar happen. I chucked my entire DL folder and am in the process of rebuilding it right now! On the bright side, I discovered a lot of awesome sites I never knew about (of course that is making this whole process take way longer than I had intended for it to)! I hope you get everything worked out somehow!

I think it's what engram said, one of my downloads randomly corrupted because the crash is COMPLETELY random :(

I'm going to transfer my most-used stuff into a new folder and save the other stuff I can't bear to just get rid of so I can mess with it later. I miss Bunyip and now I have Pink Eraser Behr who wants some attention XD

Sometimes my game will crash when I give makeovers, but when I load Body Shop it's fine. :\ I'm in the habit of resetting my computer now right before I play, and it doesn't do it. Who knows what this game does anymore!

It's amazing what we go through with this game isn't it? I'm going to pare down my Buy Mode downloads until it's playable again. Tbh, I mostly use Maxis recolors and Maxis Match along with a couple of my favorite CC sets and the bulk of my Buy Mode downloads are used when I feel like decorating hardcore or for contests. Time to separate the two.
