GUESS WHAT?  I spent yesterday evening building and decorating a new house for the Magicakes (sans my Buy Mode folder, I'm sick of fucking with it) and got a little play time in.  I'm probably going to have my generation finished up today then I can edit and post updates!  HUZZAH!

I'm currently running a GUID conflict scan.  Ran HCDU yesterday and deleted some of my hacks, game still crashes.  I suspect I either have a GUID conflict or a corrupted piece of CC.  Depending what this scan shows, I'm going to move the Magicakes off their current lot (which is really ridiculous for a family of 4, soon to be 5, with at least 3 ( Read more... )

I am seriously about to cry over a stupid video game.  I tested and tested and my crashes are random.  So I have no clue what to take out to make my Sims 2 work.  It'll be fine for varying lengths of time and then BOOM.  I'm just going to save a lot so I can get through the Magicakes and then pare my downloads folder of most of the stuff I use for ( Read more... )

I'm trying to get the next Magicakes update out but I am suffering the dreaded crash upon trying to enter lot.  Other lots are crashing too so apparently my download glut found some bad CC.  I've tried 50/50 but I don't get the crash with EITHER half so something in one half is conflicting with something in the other half.  Bad news: that is going ( Read more... )

I may have mentioned that I had a corrupt disc that contained the Drop's neighborhood.  I tried to get it off my old comp but it seems it won't even boot at all.  Either the PC or the monitor isn't working, I don't know which, but on at least one attempt to boot it, I got the nasty BIOS noise so I suspect the comp is dead.  I don't have time to ( Read more... )

Guinness is doing well and recovering slowly, but he's doing much better.  He's now eating at mealtimes with the other cats and getting an extra small can of food at night separately so no one else noms it all.  The jaundice, which was mainly visible inside his ears, is receding and is no longer highlighter yellow.  He's acting like himself and ( Read more... )
