Yeah, so maybe I'm a little late with this, but I went in search of canon-Wincest-slash wank (because I'm weird like that), and I found thisNow, the OP has either been deleted or Flocked, so you can't see the post that started it all in its entirety, but there's more than enough of it reproduced in the F_W comments that you can figure out what was ( Read more... )

The one Stargate con I went to did have a couple of semi-weird people, but nothing like that example. Seriously, fandom scares me sometimes.

There are privacy settings on Facebook. He should use them. I do note that you said she hacked into his account--then he has grounds to sue said fantwat. Or, unfortunately, delete his account and find something more secure. He should also take it up with Facebook.

Wow. I saw the original post with the twelve-year-old complaining about Daneel Harris being at the con and the idiot who thought to compile a slash anthology for Misha Collins through one of the supernatural lists. I thought, since there were no replies to the first one and nothing but "stop! don't do it!" responses to the second, that no one agreed with either of these people. Apparently, some did? Yikes.

People are really that stupid? What happened to common sense? Appreciation for the actors taking time out of their *private lives* to meet and greet the fans? Honestly, it's scary that people can be that stupid.

I didn't hear the story about Jared's personal photos, and the link you provided is down at the moment. He put pictures up on Facebook and somoene stole them? Seriously? If I were him, I'd sue, just to teach the stupid side of fandom a lesson.

Wordy McWordy.

What happens in fandom should stay in fandom. I really don't understand why this is so hard for people to grasp, but it seems the stupid is growing by each passing fan generation. :(
