drabble set i.

Jan 23, 2015 23:39

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. Only listen once, stop when the song is over!
4. Do ten five of these, then post them.

1. kim myungsoo/go woori, pg-13, 300w.
going crazy // song jieun (ft. bang yongguk)

woori was scared.

she had always knew myungsoo was the type to fall deep and obsess over things. she had seen the signs and hadn’t missed them, couldn’t even if she had tried. she had noticed the multiple times he had asked her to cook kimchi jjigae while he was over in her tiny studio, a sheepish smile on his face or the too many black shirts and pants he had bought on their rare shopping escapades. she had seen it all but had thought nothing of it.

she had even found it cute, at some point. it had reminded her of an insecure little boy who needed guidance and she had been flattered he had come to her, flattered by the looks full of love he had given her while he had hold her hand a little bit too tightly and had kissed her a little bit too harshly.

and then, everything had gone wrong. he had fallen deep once again - deep in love with her.

it had started, the nightmare she was trapped in.

the constant messaging, the plans she had to cancel because he didn’t want her to go, the decision he made for her to move in together.

it had been too much, it was too much but there was no escape.

she was his and he had made sure she couldn’t forget it. his, as he holds her close against him every night, her back against his bare chest. his, when she falls asleep to the rhythm of his heartbeat. his, when her own heart skips a beat as he kisses her goodnight.

he had thoroughly filled her with his love, emptying her of everything else that wasn’t him.

he couldn’t live without her and as scared as she was, she couldn’t live without him.

2. choi minho/jung nicole, pg, 180w.
painkiller // spica

“i don’t feel anything for you anymore,” she whispers to herself as she lays wide awake in a bed a bit too big for her. she has been fooling herself into believing she could find sleep but nothing had worked.

nothing had worked since minho had uttered this sentence that haunted her a few weeks ago.

she doesn’t really remember anything, not the expression on his face that she had barely seen through her tears, not the way he had broken her in seven words and sixteen seconds and not the pain that had been so strong and so abrupt she had thought her heart was failing her (it had, in a completely different way).

she doesn’t remember, doesn’t want to remember even if she could.

he doesn’t feel anything for her anymore, he had said to her.

she doesn’t feel anything anymore, she would say to anyone who would ask (but she knows it would never be him).

words had been his poison, his weapon of choice and he had fired, killing her and heart.

seven words, sixteen seconds.

3. lee howon/na haeryeong, pg, 132w.
the one that got away // katy perry

haeryeong had always known it wouldn’t last.

hoya was like the sun, shining bright and so hot he would make everyone around him melt. he was like the sun and exactly as she predicted it, he burned her as soon as she came too close.

their fling had meant nothing to him. she had known it. it was obvious when his warm and pliant lips that had kissed dozens of women before her had coaxed her mouth open and had left her with a bitter taste in her mouth. it was obvious when the sincere but empty smiles that he would give to dozens after her had only managed to make her look away.

lee howon had treated her as a prince charming would treat a princess. he had swept her off her feet in a few weeks and she hadn’t been able to resist.

except there was a problem - she was a princess, but he wasn’t her prince charming.

4. jung taekwoon/jung hyerim (leo/eunji), pg, 207w.
what a girl wants // 4minute

her fingers hover over the screen and the bright blue “send” button as she stares at the message she has typed a few minutes prior. should she send it? isn’t it a bit too much? what is he even going to reply to her? it’s a silly text message, she thinks, just a random admission of how much she misses him.

hyerim bites her lower lip as she falls backwards on her bed, groaning softly at her and all the feelings she doesn’t know how to deal with. her and taekwoon have been dating for six months but he still manages to reduce her into the stupid teenage girl she had left behind her when she had moved to seoul and she doesn't know what to do with herself.

it’s just a silly text message, she thinks again, as she finally presses “send” and closes her eyes. he’s not going to reply anyway, he’s going to ignore it as he often does.

he’s probably too busy and he’s not one for displays of affection, has never been and would probably never be.

she had kissed him first, had hold his hand first, had hugged him first, had even asked him out--

”i miss you too. i love you.”

(he declares his love first.)

5. cha hakyeon/han sanghyuk (n/hyuk), pg, 283w.
one dream // boa

the screams are so deafening that sanghyuk almost misses the sharp intake of air that comes from his right. almost.

the view that meets his eyes when he slightly turns his head to the side stuns him. countless tears are chasing each other on hakyeon’s cheeks, shining brightly under the bright light of the dozens of spotlights above them. hakyeon tries to smile at him and usually, he would have made fun of his hyung’s wobbly smile, wouldn’t have missed the occasion to make fun of his hyung.

tonight, he just smiles back as he grasps hakyeon’s hand and grips it faintly. he stays uncharacteristically silent as he lets the screams of the thousands of fans present in the arena wash over them instead. the sound of their names being chanted again and again is all he hears as he closes his eyes and lets their love embrace him.

after what seems like hours but couldn’t have been more than a few minutes, the noise finally decreases before stopping completely. fans start leaving the venue, their cries of excitement sounding further and further away until the tokyo dome is left so silent it feels eerie and unreal, almost as if nothing had happened.

when he's certain everyone is gone, sanghyuk opens his eyes again and glances around, taking in the view.

everyone has left.

everyone, except hakyeon.

“we did it, hyung.” he says softly, after a long pause, as if speaking louder would somehow ruin the moment.

hakyeon doesn’t talk but sanghyuk knows he’s there, knows he has heard him, knows that hakyeon doesn’t need words.

the way hakyeon squeezes his hand is a bit too tight and a bit too clammy but that's all he needs so sanghyuk says nothing.

he just squeezes back.

it's the first time i'm trying to do this and it's tough. those are really rough as i tried to stop writing as soon as the song stopped (except to tie loose ends) and i tried to keep the editing to a minimum.
i'm not really happy with what i've produced but yay for trying new things and new pairings?
