Goodbye, my little precious one. I love you.

It's Friday now, the day after, and the world is still the same.
I think that for a very long time, the two things I will remember most about last night are that her eyes were open the entire time, and the liquid in the euthanasia syringe was pink.

I'm sitting here struggling not to burst into tears. I feel your pain and I'm really sorry about Tuesday.

I know that net hugs don't really mean much because you can't feel them. So I won't give you any, but know that you are in my thoughts ( ... )

Thank you, Chandra, thank you...
So, the fluid is always pink. Interesting.

*nods* usually a lethal dose of phenobarbitol. They never sedated my Smokey though, or any other pet needing euthanasia. I wonder if that's a practise just in the states.

I'm still so sorry.

Wow, phenobarbital? I didn't know that! The things you learn.
I'm not sure if every vet's office in the states sedates the animal first, but from the way our vet was explaining it, I think it is a common practice, at least if the animal is in physical distress like Tuesday was... It did make her breathing easier, seemed to make her more peaceful before she went.
*sniffles*

Oh my....I am so sorry, honey...I know you loved her very much, you can tell by the way you talked about her. But you did what you knew was right and she's not in any more pain, poor little girl.

::hugs:: I'll be thinking about you and I'll say a prayer to Gitche Manitou and Nanabozho for you. They'll take care of her now.

If you need to talk or anything, let me know. My animals are like my children too so I understand how you must be feeling.

*smiles and hugs* Thank you. That is so sweet of you. I love creator gods and gods of underworlds, to guide souls after life, back to rebirth...

::hugs:: You're very welcome, darling. The creator Gods value all of the life they've made, no one is left behind. :)
