It's Friday now, the day after, and the world is still the same.
I think that for a very long time, the two things I will remember most about last night are that her eyes were open the entire time, and the liquid in the euthanasia syringe was pink.

I am also not immune to crying when confronted with others loses, especially kitties. You reminded me that everyone who takes on the responsibility of keeping animals must be strong enough to make that final decision.

*sniffle* Yeah... that is a very good way of putting it. It's why I get so angry and upset when people adopt pets and don't take care of them, or abandon them, or worse. I believe one of the worst things a person can do, ever, is that "newborn kittens in a pillowcase with a stone tied to it, thrown in the river" thing. It's just so sick.
Pets become family as soon as they come into the home. And until they die or leave, they need to be treated as such, with love and respect and loyalty.
