Oh, my friend, that scene between Mycroft and Lestrade is sooooo amazing! (Go away, Sherlock, they were on the brink of a breakthrough there!) The idea that Lestrade would go of his own volition... that Mycroft was staring at the gift, and wondering (I presume) what Lestrade would choose if he could, and what he would find "unsavoury"... they're so close here, and yet so far. So constrained. I love Sherlock's realization of what's going on and that last look he throws at Lestrade. AUGH, you always hold my heart in the palm of your hand in this 'verse. Just breathtaking, as always. Literally. I couldn't breathe. *loves all over this*

Oh thank you my dear! I always love to hear your thoughts on this world. It will be a while yet before I get to go back and write the Mycroft/Lestrade backstory, but I couldn't resist dipping my toe in just a little before I get back to the current installment.

I'm glad their constrainedness (is that a word?) works for you. Their inability to talk to each other is one of my favorite things about writing scenes for these two.

Mycroft was staring at the gift, and wondering (I presume) what Lestrade would choose if he could
Ah yes, choice: a very valuable commodity for a slave. Also, what's in that box will come into play later, for sure.

I'm so very happy you enjoyed this! I really really will get back to work on the next installment soon, so watch your inbox!

A fantastic M/L ficlet in my favorite 'verse! It is Christmas! Thank you :D

“I had thought I was clear before, Gregory. You needn’t perform any function in this household that you find unsavoury. Especially not when-- ”

The main door to the suite banged open.

Sherlock, you dick! I don't even know how he can look at Lestrade. Greg actually went to Mycroft and maybe they would even talk. Who knows? Mycroft could actually say what he means to poor confused Lestrade.

And "unsavoury"? Oh. Mycroft! No. Both of them ♥ they killed me every single time and if you ever write their first time...To much feelings *grins* It's no wonder they took two years to get where they are now, and we all know it's still a glorious, heartbreaking mess. I can't wait for more of them and thanks for sharing! :)

Merry Christmas to you!

Yes, Sherlock is very convenient for messing things up. Of course, I don't think he's actually as callous as he seems to be about Lestrade's fate, but yeah, he's prettymuch a dick full time.

It's no wonder they took two years to get where they are now, and we all know it's still a glorious, heartbreaking mess.
Yes, at this rate of communication, they'll be angsting for a long time. It's definitely a bumpy two years to get to where they are in In My Master's House, and I hope to explore that backstory in a future installment. Cuz they're both such lovely characters.

Thank you for reading, and for taking the time to share your thoughts. I always love hearing about people's reactions!

The Mirrorverse one made my heart do funny little flips in my chest. I really love how stupidly in love with Kirk McCoy is, and how much Kirk loves it too.

Oh yay, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Poor McCoy and his complete lack of self-preservation. Lucky he has Kirk :) Thanks for reading!

Now I need to put my laptop under the Christmas Tree, because I insist on believing that the SPN/Heroes crossverse one was written for me. Yes, it was, admit it. Thank you soooo much!! I have been working on a SPN-calendar lately and have now finished my Petrelli-calendar, too, and all the time I thought that those two fandoms are so very much alike in so many ways. And it makes absolutely sense to mix them, but most SPN fans don't give Dean to anyone outside SPN. Which is a pity. Not only for Peter. But you feed my madness make my dreams come true.

Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!

Heehee. Have you read the main stories in the universe that SPN/Heroes fic is from? jaune_chat and I had a great time writing two Big Boom stories in that world that paired Dean/Peter and Nathan/Sam. So much fun. In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed!

Two stories?! I think I only know one- when they first meet and fuck hunt together. That is still one of my all-time favorites! And that is how I discovered you, by the way :-). I'm not into Sherlock, and as far as Star Trek goes, I am and will always be a Classics girl, bur your Heroes fics I read and love. ♥ But now I have to go and search for the second story- I can't believe I missed that one!
