I won't follow, sorry

Oh, Gilmore Girls (which we finally watched tonight because I was pretty apathetic about it). About the best thing I could say about the premiere was that the credits made me really want to rewatch the early seasons. I think I'm pretty much done. :( (Paris, I still love you!)

In happier news, OMG Bloodlines! Holy crap! I'm a hundred pages in ( Read more... )

What she said. And yes, Karen's made me care about Fett, which is deeply disturbing.

Thank you thank you! There was some stuff in a couple of Insiders too, no?

I was getting pretty frustrated with the end of last season of GG. Luke was being such an unpleasant guy, and didn't seem true to his earlier commitment to her. I got that he would be thrown for a loop by April (which seemed a pretty cheap stunt, IMHO), but for *that* long?

As to this season, I agree that the L/L end seemed very abrupt, but on the other hand I completely see Lorelei turning to Chris. It's messy and ugly, but real. I've always had a soft spot for Christopher, and I'll admit that I wanted them to get together before. Maybe now I'll get my chance to see how that works.

That being said, not really a must-see. But it's on before Veronica Mars.

See, I love Christopher. And I love Lorelei with Christopher. And if I thought the show was going to treat the two of them as anything more than an obstacle to L/L getting back together, then I think I'd be watching. But I don't trust the show enough. Burned too many times by other shows, you know?

I'd like to be wrong. But I'm not counting on it.

You definitely need to pick up Republic Commandos: Hard Contact and Republic Commandos: Triple Zero...ostensibly about the clones, but also about Mandalorians, in a sense.

Yes, OMG on Bloodlines. Between Aaron's book and this one, I find myself caring about a series of SW books again. AND I WANT THE NEXT ONE NOW. DAMNIT.

Short hair is of the good. I went to Jenny yesterday and told her that in honor of my 35th birthday and the fact that I am sick of my job, I wanted to go really blonde and crazy. It's definitely blonde, and I can give it a total bedhead look. YAY! Next time, I think I'm going to go for a platnimum blonde pixie cut, so I can give my employer the finger...

Gawd, when did I get so crabby?
