My new skates (Super Teri boots, Coronation Ace blades) are the most amazing things ever. They hurt like a sonofoabitch, but I seriously skate 200% better with them on. Also, it's new and exciting parts of my feet that hurt, instead of my boring old bruised toes again.

Oh, I remember the joy (and pain) of new boots. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes, isn't it? Do you have freestyle picks on the blades, or more dance picks? (That really changes things, too -- I remember my first pair of dance blades instantly improved my turns just because I wasn't riding those damn freestyle picks anymore.) I'm so glad you have shiny new boots and blades, and I hope you get through the break-in quickly and enjoy all the excellent skating goodness.
