"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay for a while and leave footprints on our minds and hearts and we are never the same."
AnonymousAll sentient creatures, regardless of race or species or ilk, require companionship. They might call it camaraderie among soldiers, a shared consciousness, perhaps even love. It can be as simple ( Read more... )

Ooooh gosh, you made me cry. Thanks for that. ;; Seriously though, that was SOOOO worth the wait, and I just have to say, I think the second person works really, really well here. SO well. And just, yes, I'm still wibbling and things, but I love the two different POVs and just....it was gorgeous, end of story. So much love for this. *clings*

Don't cry Mel ; ; IF YOU CRY, COMPASSION WILL COME AND BEAT YOU UP. Though thank you very much. I was still really worried about how this came out so it means a lot to hear you say that. Just don't cry ; ; EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY.

THAT IS SCARY! But I can't help it, it's your fault. Compassion should come beat YOU up for making me cry!

I really love how this turned out! The POV switches work very well, and really compliment the emotional value of the story as a whole. I think you were good with picking fourth and second (I HOPE THAT IS SECOND I fail at English). The AIM dice are never wrong.

The last little section, especially, is absolutely beautiful. So great job, as usual! I envy your writing, Star.

YES THAT IS SECOND. And this is true, AIM dice never fail. And Mel also said I should use second, so AIM dice + Mel = THIS MUST BE AWESOME and I guess it was.

It's funny, because the entire idea for this fic came from the line in the last segment about 'In war, there is no greater suffering than to be alone.' I wrote the entire thing revolving around that line and I KNEW I wanted it to be at the end and reference the Doctor. It was just getting to that point that made me headwall but I ended up being really happy with the ending SO I'M GLAD YOU WERE, TOO.

And shush, your writing is beautiful. I love your writing ; ;

Oh snap, if it gets validated by Mel, you have to go with it. No choice there.

Very! ♥ I only have secondhand knowledge of Doctor Who, but it still manages to be very touching. WHICH TAKES SKILL. So, applause.

ARE WE GOING TO HAVE A WRITING FIGHT (because you win by seniority). Speaking of, though, I finished the Diva/Riku thing. It's f-locked on shifted_prompts because, uh, dubious content. Thanks LJ!

Don't cry! ; ; *dries your computer* I'm sorry, really! It really wasn't meant to MAKE people cry...

Thank you so much, though. *clings* I realised I'd never written a Time War piece for her and this is my response to my own fail, so I'm glad it meets your approval.

Thank you very much for that. Considering I absolutely envy your ability to jump between points of view and just the way you tell a story, it means a lot to me to know I've done a good job conveying the Time War here. I really didn't want to go the death, destruction, rawh angle, since others have done it much better and have characters significantly more attuned to it, but I've always figured the War hurt the TARDIS in different ways than physically and I really wanted to explore that. (And I had to use Compassion! And Lolita! I never use them enough ( ... )

Well, since the TARDIS is basically impervious to damage (basically), mental pain always strikes me as being the worst of the two. I know it's bad for anyone, but I dunno, I tend to focus on it more with her than I do some others. But yeah, I didn't want to completely ignore the very real possibility of being ripped apart and dying, but I didn't wanna dwell on it, hence the references.

WELL the one book I've read so far didn't have a whole lot, other than the TARDIS, you know, calicifying Compassion and then Compassion being terrified and running away and NEVER EVER wanting to go back and oh yeah, she KILLED ALL THE OTHER TARDISES, but yeah, her and the TARDIS have an awesome relationship. And yes! I love Lolita. SHE IS SO AWESOME whyyyy can't she be in New Who? Damnit, Master, hop to it :|

YAY~ I am sooooo glad I made you happy. Because you so deserve it.
