Today is a travel day... Or I suppose I should really say tonight for us as right now it is Friday night at 8:30pm for Robyn. Today and tomorrow Robyn will be traveling more than doing activities... Today, before leaving Wuzhen, she will get to hang out with some of the kids in Wuzhen socializing and playing games.

She will arrive in Shanghai in time for dinner and to prepare for her flight to Hong Kong. She will be staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Downtown Shanghai.

Today the delegates will be doing their service project. Each time a People to People delegation goes to these countries they do some kind of service project for the locals or the environment. Today Robyn will travel to Donghan Villiage where she will meet her home stay family. She will spend the day getting to know all the villagers and the children in the area. She will get to explore a resident artist's workshop and learn about Chinese painting and paper cutting. There will be a large village wide gathering that evening to socialize ( Read more... )

Today Robyn gets to explore the museum of the famous Terracotta Warriors. She will meet with the villager who discovered the 8,000 man army in battle formation. These life-sized warriors are over 2,200 years old! A portion of this find was in DC a couple of years ago, and we tried to get the girls in to see them and didn't make it, and now Robyn ( Read more... )
