I’m reposting here, because it came up in conversation at lunch with fionaniconnor and guy_todd today, and because I want to archive it over here where I can find it in my tags if I need it later. If you don’t believe that racism exists in this country, I’ve got a story for you. I was horrified when I read this

That is crazy. I was astonished when you were telling us the story, but reading it just makes me pissed off.

I thought you needed to see the whole thing. She tells it so well, it's hard not to feel her confusion and anger and fear.

So i find myself curious as to the ultimate outcome. Were they arrested, or just given a speeding ticket (as they ought to have been) and let go?
