I remember her very vaguely, and maybe incorrectly as one of my Upper English teachers. If my memory serves she was one of my more memorable-in-a-good-way teachers too.
Your second-to-last paragraph makes me realize exactly how naive I was at Exeter. And your last point is, I think, it's most valuable contribution to my life.

Oh I was pretty damned naive when I was there too. I think I was much more concerned with my own sexuality than my teachers. But when I got to college and met my first lesbian and had my consciousness raised that gays and lesbians existed outside of Hollywood and New York City, I realized just how many I'd already met.
I think CRob was a pretty new teacher when we were there. I know Mr. Bateman was new my freshman year, and I think Mr. Lynch had maybe been there only a year longer.
While school was mostly a low-key nightmare for me, I also had that one teacher who made a big difference. It sounds like CRob was an amazing person to have in your life. :)
