Yes, it is 3:30 am. Your point is?

So, I am awake. I'm tired, but not sleepy. What else is new?

If I had a copy of 1984, I could read the first paragraph and be happily asleep. Alas, I don't (to which I say, gracios a dios; not that I believe in dios , but the expression holds true), so no sleep for me ( Read more... )

I had a little freak out over the use of the word, septante.

Heh, I actually remember having to read about the word "septante" before going to Belgium. But as I knew no French in the first place, it didn't really freak me out. ^_^;

And I have a copy of 1984--maybe I'll transcribe its first paragraph for your future use. ;)

It's just a mythological word. I know it's real. I know it's used. And yet, I've never heard it. So, to hear it in a film after all these years, it was just... odd. And a little unsettling.

If you do transcribe it and I read it, the chances are good that I will fall asleep on my keyboard. It has this power over me. A 1984-related narcolepsy.

I'm actually trying to read 1984 these days myself, just to finally get it overwith... gah. It's not a bad book from what I can see, but there's just something about it that makes it so tedious. Maybe that's why I'm so tired today--I read chapter three in it this morning. ^_^;

It is terribly tedious. Excessively so, even.

I applaud you for being able to read chapter 3. I never really made it past that first blasted paragraph.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 1984. It's just that you bore easily :p

Okay, it's no fair if you use my words against me.

And I stand by my long-held assertion. 1984 is a boring, tedious, unreadable book. And wickedly awful insomnia is preferable to reading it.

Avoiding spoilers is a full-time job. It's so hard!

It is so hard. And they're everywhere.

I took a vow of spoiler-freeness after reading some VM spoilers for the premiere. I realised that I really didn't want to know what was going to happen and so am working on forgetting what I know. Which, in my case, is partly possible; I actually knew who killed Lilly before watching the show, but, somehow, I had forgotten and it was a total surprise at the reveal.
