Heh, I actually remember having to read about the word "septante" before going to Belgium. But as I knew no French in the first place, it didn't really freak me out. ^_^;
And I have a copy of 1984--maybe I'll transcribe its first paragraph for your future use. ;)

If you do transcribe it and I read it, the chances are good that I will fall asleep on my keyboard. It has this power over me. A 1984-related narcolepsy.

And I stand by my long-held assertion. 1984 is a boring, tedious, unreadable book. And wickedly awful insomnia is preferable to reading it.

I took a vow of spoiler-freeness after reading some VM spoilers for the premiere. I realised that I really didn't want to know what was going to happen and so am working on forgetting what I know. Which, in my case, is partly possible; I actually knew who killed Lilly before watching the show, but, somehow, I had forgotten and it was a total surprise at the reveal.
