Today was mostly interesting for one specific thing, which I've not written about before (I think). The housing company has been thinking about renovating the group of buildings in which I live for a while now. This started about one year ago, and is now slowly on it's way to become a reality. Won't the housing comp. be compelled to assist you in finding a new living space for the time being? They would be my first stop, actually.

Yeah, they help you in the sense that you're granted a special status which makes it easier to make the cut (woonduur wordt verhoogd) and you've got a bit more rights in accepting/not accepting to rent other houses :)

- Yup, it's getting bigger by about 6 square meters ;P
- It'll take about a year before you can come back
- I can stick around, I told them my preference was to live central because of work :P

(I just heard that the majority of the tenants is actually against the plans, so I guess it'll still be a while until it happens for real)

Often when there are renovations the houseing company pays a compensation fee to the tenant. Because hey, you need to redecorate the whole place! I don't know if that's the case for you?
