Fill: Merlin - Arthur/Merlin, Handfasting 1/3xthursdaynextxJune 29 2011, 22:11:14 UTC
Wrote it myself, hope that's not cheating or anything, the prompt wouldn't leave me alone.

Of course, he'd always known they could never marry. It hadn't seemed to matter at first. They'd started fooling around, a few experimental kisses leading on to some drunken fumbling and then further, exploring the limits and possibilities of each other's bodies. It was easy, comfortable, the energetic sex punctuated by their normal banter. Merlin even made fun of Arthur's future marriage to some as yet faceless noblewoman, (I pity your future wife if your bedroom manners don't improve, sire, as Arthur kicked him on the shin, waking him from his post-coital slumber, ordering him to fetch wine from the kitchens
( ... )
I'm a bit teary in the eyes, you know? Because probably in the eyes of Camelot Arthur is still going to marry some noble girl (or even Gwen, who I love, but who should be with Lancelot) and they're gonna be apart in apparence, at least until Uther dies.
I would very much like to see you write this, even if I have to cry a little, because crying from beautiful reading are the best tears of the world.
