Yeah. I trust them to do it right, because while they've done some stupid things in the past (such as shooting Booth and then effectively pretending that never happened), they usually get the relationship stuff. I think they can do it.
I can kind of see it, reflecting back on the first episode, but the rest of the series is what's throwing me off. I'm sure I'll come around to it; I just need to work it into my personal view of canon first.
And YES, the thing with Angela and Brennan was SO WEIRD. I always kind of wondered how they met, but I didn't think it could possibly be so recent! (I also kind of figured Angela had a lot of experience in computer science: she's way too good not to.)
I hope we get The Awkward in that buried way, where they're both trying to pretend that nothing's changed, that that never happened, and failing miserably, but they think no one else is noticing but everyone else is gossiping about it behind their backs. That'll be awesome. And I'm really not looking forward to the relationship that is obviously coming with Booth and someone else, but I think it needs to happen and it could be awesome.
I get what you're saying about Sweets, and yeah, that was a stupid and harmful thing to do. But I think he was just so frustrated and so desperate and so young that he wasn't thinking straight. But it still kind of annoys me.
This definitely was one of the show's more brilliant episodes, partly because it showed the development of so many relationships that we've always taken for granted and partly because it just hurt.
