Of hair and new characters

I haven't talked about Lost in a LONG time, and this isn't all that extensive, but there are just some things I want to note from yesterday's episode.

The Other Woman )

I haven't seen this one yet, but I agree that the whole love triangle/square/whatever thing is getting a bit tiresome, because they just won't make it clear who feels what for who and it ends up being all tangled and frustrating. (wow, sounds kind of like House...)

That's the problem I have with Jack and Kate, I suppose. They keep getting sidetracked with other characters and their interest in one another just never really grabs me for that reason.

Dan/Charlotte! I can get behind that! Desmond/Penny are my happy distraction, I hope they get their happy ending. That phonecall last week put everyone else to shame.

I really don't think ANYONE still likes the romantic intrigue, but the writers think we do. Bad combination, right there. (And hey! It does!)

See, I liked them from the very first episode, and they quickly became my two favorite characters individually, as well. So it's really frustrating to me, because they were so obvious at the beginning and now, well...

Desmond and Penny are adorable. That was the first happy moment anyone has had in a LONG time.

What I hate about this triangle is that the show has SO MANY OTHER THINGS to concentrate on that it DOESN'T NEED the love triangle to push anything forward except the characters, but they're not handling it with the least bit of respect for ANY of the characters and it's just leaving everyone, OF ALL SHIPS, with a bad taste in their mouth ( ... )

I know they probably think that all shows need to have that romantic intrigue that lasts forever, because resolving it would lessen the viewers' interest (and I know I talk about this often enough with Bones). But honestly? This is past the point where it's still interesting, and they just need to resolve it already. Sure, it'll make some people unhappy because their ship was sunk, but this is making everyone unhappy.

I hadn't noticed that, actually. I mean, I noticed that she wasn't wearing her hair up anymore, and it was driving me crazy because it makes her look even dirtier, but I hadn't connected the two. I'm starting to think that the people who make these decisions are the only ones with a clear vision.

The quadrangle is starting to collapse my interest in these characters. I cannot handle the rest of the season of Jacket mixed in with jealous!Kate and horny!Sawyer. IT MAKES MY MIND MUSH.

Haha, Dan/Charlotte could be really interesting if they continue to give the two of them consistent screen time. I have a feeling that we'll see a lot of them this season. ;)

Anyways, I'm obviously team Jate, the two always caught in the middle. All I want is flash-forwards, with cute confessions and awkward yet adorable meetings. *grins*

ME TOO. It's making me want to throw things.

I hope so. :D They're really cute. And they've been added to the list of regulars, so here's hoping...

Same here! Flash-forwards are great. :D
