House 4x03

Bones coming tomorrow, but for now, House! (Incidentally, Sully? Is on the episode of Friends I'm watching right now. He's much more attractive when he's got a broken foot and isn't being all smarmy. God, I hated that character.)

97 Seconds )

bones, house

Yay for cakes!

That's exactly what I thought at the beginning, too - I was sure he was going to be really annoying. And then I liked him! Though I have to say, in the beginning, I was most relieved that they hadn't killed the dog. And then they did anyway. Gah.

Ahh, that makes sense. I didn't get that before. I think my developing theory is that House sees nothing because he thinks there's nothing, and so it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway. Should be an interesting query!

The dog! He was possibly my favorite part. So cute and I totally cried when he died :(

I seriously am starting to think that House has run across all the people who have glimpsed heaven, but when he dies, he sees hell and THAT is why he's so resistant. He doesn't see what they see, therefore what they see is wrong because the all-important House didn't see it. Which just means we'll deal with this storyline again sometime ( ... )

I think he might see nothing BECAUSE he thinks there's nothing, and other people who believe in an afterlife get one because they believe in it, no matter what it is. Honestly, I don't think that House, having been proven wrong, could be happy even in heaven - the fact that he was so horribly wrong would make it hell for him.

I think part of the reason Chase and Cameron aren't having similar experiences is because, as House said, it's a step down. They're not doing anything particularly difficult or unusual; Cameron is doing good work, but it's inevitably repetitive (suture, suture, remove object from bodily orifice, rinse and repeat). Foreman was challenging himself, at least, and so maybe he failed at it, but that's why.

The one I really want to keep is the old guy - I really like him. He's not competitive, because he has nothing to gain from being employed, so he genuinely likes medicine and wants to cure people, and I love that. I also like that he's older than House - that would be a really interesting dynamic. :D

I really love that guy because it seems House has a respect for him that's interesting to me. Even when he mocked him in the end, they shared that look. I hope he does stay in some capacity. Or that this encourages him to get a degree, even if it's "too late" -- the guy really loves this stuff.

Just caught this ep. It wasn't very case-file but I actually liked it! The dog made me so sad, especially the last bit ):

But I like Olivia Wilde! After watching House, I had to see who acted as Thirteen and I think she's pretty! :P I also like non-doctor old guy, because he looks grandfatherly and the rest just annoy me. What I hate most is kiss ass blond doctor, just ...NO. Seriously, shut up already.

I didn't like the stab-knife-in-wall-socket-thing, HUH?!, I just don't like it. I can't decide which is worse, drug habit or afterlife, ew. The visions thing not doing much for me.

And I ignored all the Foreman scenes, paid zero attention to haha. Boring.
