Sound Relief Review

Mar 16, 2009 20:25

So... The Sound Relief benefit concert was on Saturday. Alana and I had a great time except we had two major storms during the day and it rained 80% of the time. The evening storm was the worst. We had 25mm of rain and 150km winds! Crazy! Seriously, seriously crazy but somehow it made it all the more fun. I mean the concert was to benefit the ( Read more... )

Aww jealous! I'm glad you had such a great time at their gig. They would've been fab to see.

Thanks for explaining the SOF thing. Everyone was a little pissed over it and wondering why they didn't do it.

I'm sure there'll be other chances to see them in the future. I'm glad you got to see them even if it was expensive. I've done that plenty of times.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to go read it.

Not a problem. I'm always up for more friends, especially if they have similar interests. I'll add you back. :) By the way do you know when SPN returns to our screens? I miss it sooooo much.

I was glad to have seen Jet just because I hadn't seen them before and probably wouldn't have paid to see their own gig. That's why I like festivals because you see people that you might not have otherwise gone to see.

I seriously seriously can't wait to see The Fray. It'll be my first time. I'm really really coming to love that band A LOT!

Hooray for concerts. Sounds like fun! Have fun at the next 2. I'm especially jealous that you get to see Guy!

And I love the layout. I'm not big into Twilight, but I think Robert is really cute.

Yes horray for concerts. :) I'm always happier when there are a few to look forward to. I'll let you know how Guy goes. I'm interested to see how he does seeing as The Palms is a VERY intimate venue. I think it holds less than 1,000.

I'm so beyond being into Twilight. It's become a fully fledged obsession now. :p

I'm glad you had fun at the concert. :) A 10 1/2 hour concert would be awesome, especially when they're mostly good artists. It sounds like Kings of Leon were especially great! And hooray for rain, even if you didn't necessarily want it soaking you! I saw pictures of John Farnham with Coldplay, and I was really excited for you until I realized it was the Sydney show!

I'm excited to hear how The Fray's concert goes!

Yes it was well worth the $75 ticket cost. KOL were fantastic but their set didn't go long enough but we were lucky to have them there at all. The rain wasn't so bad. Okay it was bad but I was just trying to go with the Byron Bay Bluesfest feel where it rains there and no one cares. They crossed to Sydney to show Coldplay and John, so we all got to see and everyone screamed 'You're The Voice' out loud even though we weren't in Sydney. :p It was definitely a moment.

I'll let you know about The Fray. :)
