So they're calling it Black Saturday now. :( As of right now, they're saying 84 are confirmed dead and 750 homes burned down.

One of the saddest things to come out of the fires is that famous Australian news broadcaster Bryan Naylor and his wife have been confirmed as dead aswell. :(

This is so scary! Reading that article made me tear up. It's inevitable that those numbers are going to get higher. Numbers like that show just how huge and fast-moving those fires must have been. I can't even imagine what you're going to see when you get back there. If nothing else, I can only imagine how horrible the air must be with ash. I'm so glad it didn't hit yours or Nan's place, but it's still scary it came as close as it did. Let us know you're okay as soon as you can? How contained are the fires now?

They were saying the fire was moving 20km in 4 minutes and the fire front was 100km long! How on earth anyone survived that is beyond me?!!

So far the Vic Bushfire Fund has raised 40 million for the survivors.
