Thanks for the review! I really want to see this, even if most of my friends are skeptical and amused at the idea of a 'facebook' movie.

"witty lines and fast dialogue?" Looks like Aaron Sorkin hasn't lost his touch. This is why he must return to tv.

I think it gets unfairly dubbed the 'facebook movie'. I mean, it's about the founding of the company. It's not like 2 hours of a computer screen.

Sorkin's got it. I think this is his best writing in a while.

I loved it, but try not to let all the hype ruin it. I think a lot of critics are kind of overdoing it with praise.

Thanks for the review! I've been kind of on the fence about this, since I kind of loathe Facebook, but love David Fincher. This has definitely tipped me over the fence into definite Must See territory. :)

Haha, I hate Facebook these days too. But this movie mostly depicts the early days of facebook when it was a college-only network, and it's not exactly the most flattering portrait of Mark Zuckerberg.

I think this will be a big must-see of the year.

This is a great review. I know the film "looks good" and I hear good things but I still don't find myself wanting to see it much. I don't know why.

Thanks! I know a lot people who are in the same boat as you. It is kind of an odd topic for a movie but it's done in such a fresh and clever way that I think it overcomes genre bias. But I wonder if this will end up being a movie that critics love and audiences just like. There's sort of this expectation for 'true story' movies to be inspirational, and this movie totally isn't.

The subject matter does have a lot to do with it. I'll probably wait for the dvd but I'm sure I'll see it.

Thanks for your thoughts, bb! I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that there was a movie, indeed, made about Facebook but it looks like it could be a very good film about the study of human characters and relationships and that I can identify with. Not to mention I'm a sucker for good scripts and Andrew Garfield. ♥

I guess I'm going to have to check it out!

I mean, Facebook is a cultural phenomenon, so this is like any movie about a tycoon or entrepreneur creating something successful from nothing.
