Thurman is just amazing in the Kill Bill movies. And as for Reese Witherspoon, it goes to show that comedic roles/films are often stupidly overlooked when it comes to award seasons.

I agree. It has gotten a little better recently with Meryl Streep getting nominated for J&J and Devil Wears Prada, but then again, that's Meryl Streep...

I always look forward to your picspams! And I agree with you on a lot of them.

Like Marilyn Monroe, Hayworth was somewhat trapped in her pin-up sex symbol status and was rather underrated as an actress

you know, I kind of feel the same can be said for Brad Pitt. Everyone is so wrapped up in his personal life that his amazing preformances go overlooked.

I also agree that Reese won the oscar for the wrong film. I guess I'm still a little bitter that Joaquin was woefully overlooked in a movie that should have been all for him. Like Ray was for Jamie Foxx.

I do think Brad gets overlooked sometimes cause of his tabloid life, but he has gotten 2 nominations already. I think he will win eventually, probably for Supporting Actor cause those are the kinds of roles he does very well in.

I KNOW! I thought Joaquin totally was the star of the show. It pissed me off that Reese got all the attention.

FINALLY! Someone that agrees with me. It got to the point where I was like, I dont friggin care how she played June Carters mother in a school play, I'm watching this movie to see Johnny cash! lol

That's exactly what I thought! I mean, I don't know a whole lot about June Carter but I didn't think that performance was really so special. Definitely not as impressive as Joaquin.
