So March Madness has started! But I'm not terribly invested in the prelims cause most of my favorites are either cruising to victory or don't really have a shot. So whatever. I had really been banking on Tyrion sweeping GoT but I'm so excited to see it's between three flawless ladies instead! I'm gunning for Sansa right now but really I'd be happy with any of them. I just hope this girl power trend remains, at least for the important categories (Parks and Rec and GoT for me).

LJ is mostly dominated by girls so I'm not surprised that the results are so different from what we'd expect from general people at large. (At least for GoT, every poll I've ever seen on the internet has had Tyrion winning by miles). But with FMM, it usually dies down.. The first day of prelims are always really GIRL POWER cause it's all the passionate people voting at first but after like the second day, you have all the folks who don't care that much and just vote for who's popular.

The Wire is the next show I plan to watch. I have no idea how I haven't yet.

I was so amazingly thrilled to see the Game of Thrones race be between Arya, Daenerys, and Sansa! I was prepared to vote for anyone in order to stop Tyrion and I don't even have to vote strategically! I can't vote for my actual favourite!

I have to say, a lot of these polls are really surprising cause so many of the usual "favorites" of fandom are not doing well at all. And a lot of the leaders are actually polarizing characters. But I remember the girl power phase happened last year in prelims and 1st round, but then it kind of.. died shortly after.
