The Plan Keeps coming up again...

The beginning of the school year with no classes or teaching is weird. I *LOVE* back to school time. I roam the aisles at Target, lust after stationary, and consider getting a new planner even though I use my phone for everything now. In lieu of these joys I spent yesterday planning my semester on my google calender. Some of these are goals and ( Read more... )

i am jealous of your proposed regimen. i need to add morning workouts back into my fall schedule, particularly while it is still warm enough to run outside. the nice thing about the move is though i'm farther from my gym, it's only one bus ride rather than a transfer - which always made gym-going in the morning a pain.

it's frustrating to have to schedule only shorter runs at the beginning of the day because i have to be at the office at 8:30/9 - it's just not realistic for me to be able to get in anything above a 3-miler. i'm wondering if it might not make the most sense to see if i can do pilates at my gym in the morning, alternating with a short run on the treadmill or some climbing, and keeping my longer runs to afternoon/evening workouts.

ideally i would like to be running 2x per week, going to yoga 2x, and spending 1x on another activity - climbing, pilates, weights - so as not to burn out.

Exactly - if I want to do longer runs I need to either start earlier or do them after work and after work just never works because I'm hungry or have plans. Also, while I love having gym buddies, that always adds another 30 minutes to my workout, so I'm trying to limit those to group classes that have a scheduled start and end time.

I am jealous too! I badly need to get back on track. our schedules have been so crazy - I can't believe it's been a full year since my boot camp ended - and with mike working in the city, and then again now with his horrible no good very bad commute, I'm having a terrible time adjusting.

UGH. but what I really need to to is quit feeling sorry for myself about this and to get off my butt (out of bed?) so: thank you for the inspiration!

Just remember how great you feel when you are exercising regularly!
