It's nice not having pesky things like readings to do for class during the week. Anywho, the Honors Students' Association (HSA) is having it's first meeting of the semester on Thursday at 7 pm. Meetings will be every other Thursday at 7 pm. HSA is open to ALL members of the Honors Program and dues are $50 for life and you get a free t-shirt! I ( Read more... )

If it's a free t-shirt, then why do I have to pay $50?

With all the other stuff that HSA pays for that goes to the members, it works out to being free.

Apparently maybe it isn't a lifetime membership, since I was not invited to the meeting on Thursday seeing as how I was *cough* kicked out of the honors program. Apparently I didn't take enough honors credits last year... *sigh*

The e-mail was sent out by Andrea DuPuch to the Honors Program ListServ and NOT by HSA. So, so far it's just the Honors Program and not HSA that you've been kicked out of.

Secretaries usually just have to copy down meeting minutes, and in HSA's case, probably keep track of membership. You should be able to pull it off as long as you can attend the board meetings.

I say you should do it, especially if the E-Board thinks you'd make a great addition. And, if people recognize you from the last election, they may realize you're honestly determined to help out HSA and vote for you. My friend Tiina ran for secretary of ASME for last year but lost. This year, she won the vote for president!

I say go get 'em tiger!

Why did you have to move to Germany? You're one less vote. Damn you. Thanks for the encouragement though! :-)

Yeah..... she can take care of membership and let the dumb bastards know I'm still in the club!

But then she has to sit with the e-board during meetings... *sigh*

I guess I'll have to resort to throwing things at her since we won't be able to write sarcastic things in magazines and the like.

Awww...how sweet. Maybe since I would just be a secretary I could still with you guys. But then I wouldn't be paying close enough attention to take notes to write up the minutes. oooooooooo I could have so much fun writing up the minutes...

-Angry Hindus protest selling of religious objects for commercial purposes.
-New member is a midget with big ears that attacks and frightens the rest of the members.
-Honor Students support communism

hahahahaha...ok, enough libel. Although it would be tempting to write silly minutes about Corey being a midget with big ears....
