Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a school policy not to pick up people unless they're at a designated stop. The shuttles have been in a few accidents and UM probably doesn't want any more.

I'm sure it is, but she wasn't randomly stopping when this guy talked to her. She was already stopped and had plenty of time to open the door and let the guy on board.
