[For once, a video of Magikarp is not of it eating the camera. This time, the camera pans around a gloomy Sunday afternoon, the light rain getting wiped from the lens every few seconds by an off-screen source. It stops to watch the fish swim quickly through the water, the rain making it want to swim faster than usual.]

Pokemon Breeder job?

You know how people breed dogs? Same thing, but with Pokemon. Anyone wearing a red or green apron with a Pokeball on it is a breeder. I'm trying to raise money to start a ranch just outside Violet City, where people can give me their Pokemon to breed them for eggs.

[Looking doubtfully at the Misdreavus.] Ghost babies? I dunno... I guess I'd let you borrow my Pokemon once you get a ranch.

I'm not really 'borrowing' it... It's more like I'm providing a service for you, and taking care of your Pokemon while breeding it. You'll receive an egg, and if there are more eggs you can have them or let me keep some, which I'll sell to other trainers.

In New Bark town my backpack had gear most of the other trainers' didn't, like an apron and a breeder manual, so I arrived here as a breeder.

I do want to breed Pokemon, it seems like a useful skill to have.

[Marona's just doing her routine check of Pokédex messages now that she's able to take a break from Pokémon training. When she hears a familiar voice, she nearly drops the thing in surprise. It takes her a little bit to set it to reply, but...]

[Magikarp was no longer important. Not even on the radar. The camera whirred around and was filled with an excited, surprised face. The moment he saw her, every once of doubt he had been hiding melted, giving way to relief. She was safe. Even better than safe. She was safe with him. Though she was on the other side of the Pokegear screen, the adrenaline was still making him worried.]

Morona! You're here! Are you in a place called New Bark Town? Are you okay?

[Ash had never been separated from her before. He was sure that the other Phantoms could protect her, and knew she would stay safe near Castile without him. But having her here eliminated any doubts.]

[Video] She's been busy getting Pokeemanz and figuring out what's going on XD

[Marona was similarly excited, her expression relieved. She'd been worried about what she would do without Ash around, or what he would do stuck as a phantom without her to Confine, but... He was with her here after all. It was like a weight had suddenly been taken off her shoulders, allowing her to smile fully again.]

I'm fine! I just left New Bark Town with a group... We're on Route 29 right now.

[Blink. Something occurs to her.]

Um... Ash? If you have a Pokédex too, does that mean...

[...people here can see him?]

[Video] Ash is still going to play mentor anyway. You know how he is.

[Ash knew what she was going to say. He'd already had time to enjoy a renewed life.]

Yeah, I'm alive, Marona. I woke up here with a real body, no confinement needed.

[Ash let the camera pan about him, arms outstretched in the light rain, to show that even his hair was soaked from the rain, something that never happened as a Phantom.]

I'm really glad you're safe Marona.

From what I found out they lay eggs in the hundreds. I see why they aren't valuable.

[Magikarp splashed out of the water and dove back in playfully, dragging out his playtime in the pond as long as he could.]

Well your magikarp seems a lot happier than mine. Maybe I should give her a break more often.

True. Oh, and Smoker? I figured out a way to fight with them, even though they can't attack. But you have to keep is between us, so we have the advantage.
