I was sitting by our outdoor fireplace, thinking about how as a kid I desperately wanted a fireplace but always imagined it inside the house, which I knew meant it would never happen. The idea of an outdoor fireplace never occurred to me, but it bypasses all the various structural and financial issues that meant an indoor fireplace was functionally

A)outdoor fire pits are fantastic and I'm glad you have the opportunity to enjoy them.

B)If one of the parameters that you're thinking of shifting is geographical, you're always welcome to stay a spell in Gainesville, see if our springs and exotic flora and fauna can seduce you - I've got a spare bedroom with an en suite bath.

re: B) --I'm afraid I'm Pennsylvanian through-and-through, but I appreciate the invitation! :) If the spill-over from Philadelphia gets bad enough, perhaps I'll have to reconsider, but right now things are still mostly contained in the city and not its surrounding sub-rural communities....
