Pre-surgery
Today it finally got to me. All of these months I've kept it to myself. If peopled asked "are you scared of your surgery?" I'd just say "yeah, a bit." But thats not the case. I am petrified. I didnt go to the paper drive today because I was scared. I am already a little sick and NEED to get better. It is cold and is supposed to rain today.

theres nothing i cna say that will ease your pain, physical or mental, but have faith in God.
there is one thing id like to leave you with. a phrase that i have found myself repeating in my times of trouble.
"This too shall pass"
something i learned to focus on. when things go badly, just say that to yourself, and remember that God and His love are eternal, while all other things are temporary.
it helps me, so i thought id pass it along. maybe you will get some use out of it too.

Stay with it, man. Good things will result from this, besides the obvious three inches and no longer being short...
Anyways, I wish I could come see you, but I too am very busy, mostly with family visitations/bonding time. But, you're in my prayers, and I'm pulling for you.
Congratulations on getting in Florida State University. You'll make a fine addition to the Marching Chiefs.
