This summer was really crazy. I had three interviews for teaching positions - one at a school I really liked, one at a school I did NOT like, and one at a school that I liked and that liked me but ended up not having an opening. Congrats!!!

I'm sad we don't get to talk anymore, so I missed most of this happening. But, as my mom would say, everything works out in the end, and it looks like you are a great example of that.

I am so excited about Smithfield. Isn't that in Arlington? Oh, wait, I think it's in N. Richland Hills because that might be where my sister went to school. (I'm still not very well versed in all the schools around here.) When will you be starting and what will you be teaching?

I won't be staying at the library since that would be insane, but still.

Yeah, I don't blame you. It seems like everything just went insane at NE. I went to cover storytime with Sharon yesterday and I just got a sense from everyone that they were exhausted from coming to work every day.

Thanks Tamera. I know we already talked about everything when you were in on Thursday, but thanks again for all the well-wishes and encouragement. I am really excited about everything and I'll definitely make sure to keep you updated with what's going on - and to stay updated with what's going on with you too - especially now that SW is FINALLY about to open ( ... )

that's awesome that you'll be teaching! i'm so proud of you! im sorry your summer was so hectic and stressful, but it did indeed work out in the end. congratulations, brandy. and congrats to ben as well. im terribly happy for you both!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The summer was stressful, but in the end, everything has worked out better than I could have hoped. I can't wait until you actually have some time off and can come visit us in our new house and meet our new dog - or until Ben and I can come to Austin and visit you and Wes again. Until then, I guess we will just have to stay in touch via LJ! Good luck with the rest of the semester!
