Samuel is feeling much better today. Next time, I'll wait 24 hours on a fever before spending the money on a doctor's visit. He's back to his old self, running circles around the house and bapping his brother on the head ( Read more... )

I hope every thing goes well tomorrow for the Dix. (all kinds of mojo!)

ps. NTI. grok. mine is several years old and clips over my top two front teeth. It helps my tmj, grinding, resulting headaches, and ... stress. Love the nti.

Lots of mojo coming your way in the morning. Can you call your Dr. for a phone consult? Kage spiked a fever of 104 out of no where a week ago (no other symptoms). We were able to talk to our ped twice over the course of the day and give him an update. Kage never got bad enough for us to go in to see the Dr, but we had peace of mind after talking to him that everything was okay. Saved us a trip and some money.

Yup... I totally get the enamel/acid thing. My dentist asked me if I was drinking two giant sodas per day... :-/

What heartburn medicine do you take? I'm on Nexium but I need an alternative. It's way too expensive.

Omeprazole.... I think that's Prilosec.

It doesn't play well with Lexapro, unfortunately. Pepcid and Zantac (famotidine and ranitidine) have proven useless, too. They worked when I was pregnant, but not at all now.

Since Dixon's surgery was postponed (he came down with a fever last night), I called my dentist at 7:20 and asked if they could take me today. I couldn't handle the thought of 5 more days of pain. They said, "can you come right now?"

I love them.

I also love nitrous.

I lived on Tums and Rolaids during pregnancy and fortunately, they took care of the problem. Just lucky I guess.

The boys are so very cute. Can't wait to see them in November. Really looking forward to it. I'm prejudiced but I think boys are truely wonderful.
