I liked the movie. Was it great? No, but it was entertaining, which, really, is about all you can say for all the Star Wars movies. Citizen Kane, they ain't. Just good, rousing, adventure stories. Solo may not have been the best in the series, but it certainly wasn't the worst.

Qi'ra drove me crazy. I knew I had seen her before, and in a major role, but couldn't place her to save my life. When we got home and googled the actress it was like "doh!" How could I not have recognized Daenerys Targaryen? Must have been the dark hair. *g*

Exactly, not great but good, and should've done better.

There were a serious of Chewie-n-Han Solo books way back in the early to mid 90s somewhere. I read some of them, and I wish I could remember them better. I guess you could say that they were 'authorized' fan fiction, in the same way those Star Trek books are.

I need to look them up.

Found one link off Wikipedia....

OMG, I read the ones from the 79-80! Oops. Way further back than I thought.

I wasn't even in high school then! And I was reading that? (Well, I was also reading Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie, so....)
