A Gross Anniversary

Your vibes HAVE helped me. Thank you so much for that. I am a big believer in things happen for a reason, even horrible things, and this possibly happened to make me realize that it's not just about me in this world. :D

I still remember when this happened! It doesn't seem like that long ago, but now that I think about it, I guess it was. I remember that it still felt weird when I visited you that October after it happened.

Something similar happened to be back in the early 90's. I had a roomate named Alisha and we were living in some apartments here in Little Rock. She was at work (I worked at night then) and called me around noonish. She said, "Whatever you do, don't go outside." I was all, "Ummm why?" Evidently,a convict had escaped from one of the prisons around here and had come home to his girlfriend only to find that she had a boyfriend. He was holding them both hostage threatening to kill them. Omg there was FBI and swat all over the place not to mention the local police. I was freaked out since this was only like 2 apartments down from me ( ... )

And you're right, I can't beat myself up, but every once in a while I go "Hmmm..."

*hugs* I know I'm late commenting, but I had to say something. Don't beat yourself up about not realizing what was going on above you. It's hard to believe that something like that could be happening so close to you. I'm sorry you still feel dread when this day rolls around each year. Perhaps it will get better with time. You won't forget, but you'll deal with it a little better each year.
