It really is astonishing.

You agonize over an order for weeks. Do I really need it? Will it work for me? Can I afford it?

Then, one day, one email - and it's done. In the blink of an eye, money flies from your account toward California. It's like nothing happened.

Let's watch the money fly. It's so pretty when it flies.

I usually agonize over it for a day at most. Then I snap and send all the money I have available to me (mother's gonna be pissed about the credit card bill this month...) over to the Lab. My slavering, gibbering response is "But it's BPAL! And I don't want to be the last person in the world to get my new bottle of ________! Must. Have. PRECIOUS!"

I always rationalize it with: "Well, if I don't like it, I can always swap it away to someone else for something I might really like after all. And if I don't like that, I can swap it away! And then if..." ;)

I had my teeth gritted, thinking I could get through this update without ordering anything. I made it to the 1st. I breathed a sigh of release.

Then she extended it to the 7th and she brought back Shub.

Goner. Hook, line, sinker.

Yup. Had to see what the fuss was about and decided that the extension was a sign I needed Typhon.
