It's the battle of the skulls! I know which skull I love the best. It's the '04 edition. I don't know if it's because it's aged a bit or if it's a different formulation than the 05 edition. I'm really loving my imp of SS 05 (that I think I bought from you, actually ^_^ )... but now I'm gonna keep my eye out for an 04!

I agree. On me Sugar Skull '04 was all carmelized sugar. Yummy and delicious. Sugar Skull '05 was more maple and a bit more fruity too. I liked it, but it wasn't the OMFG smell of '04.

04 is my favorite also, 05 is nice, but 04 is to die for.

You are dead on with your descriptions. And I LOVE the 04 version a million times more. It isn't just the aging because I reviewed each when they were new and they were quite different. The booziness of 05 is the biggest difference I think...

Argh. I'm torn on whether I want to try and nab some Sugar Skull 05 from somewhere. It wasn't even on my radar (sometimes I just react badly to the name of a scent, can't help myself). But... then booze was mentioned :-) Your description of 04 sounds so yummy, but I'm all into the boozy scents at the moment.

Oh, who am I kidding? I'll just skip lunch and buy myself some Sugar Skull 05 instead.
