End Of An Era

For the last few years, you've heard me talk about my friends and pals from Big Monkey Comics, the local comics store in DC. How we would get together each Wednesday, share stories, talk trash about whatever comic sucked that week, and eventually became a strong group of friends.

I hadn't been able to go there in a while, but he was always good for advice on new titles to try out, tipped me off to some good stuff. It's sad, because he was a lot more friendly and knowledgable than most comic store employees are.

When I buy comics, I make the trek out to Big Planet Comics (I think that's it...the one on Dumbarton Street in Georgetown, across from Five Guys). They advertise in DC's Gay Pages, so I make it a point to shop with the stores willing to seek me out.
