I don't know how many of you have heard about the crisis that is going on in fandom on LJ right now, so I figured I'd write my own post to let those of you guys who aren't in on it yet aware of what's going on ( Read more... )

You think its ridiculous, you should have been following the onslaught of comments at news. I've been reading most of them since about page 31.

I have never 100% thought about not renewing my paid account until now... Which.. is odd. Because I really love my paid account.

My old GJ account is semi-calling my name, right now, too.

I heard about this last night. Even my elegant gothic lolita fashion groups are afraid and editing their interests; I removed "lolita" from mine, just in case. This is the most ridiculous thing to hit fandom in a very long time. You know it's a big deal when the real news is talking about it.

I know, they maxed out the number of comment possible! Have you been watching fandom_counts? IT's up to 18,000 people. You can just sit and hit refresh and watch the number grow and grow. It's amazing, and I'm really glad people are supporting it, if only in that one small way.

I saw an icon that said "Strikeout '07: the only thing that can bring het, gen, and slash fans together". It made me lol a little.

THankfully, though, if the real news is talking about it, and LJ is CERTAINLY getting shit, that they'll rethink this. Hopefully.
