this past weekend, i thought it would be funny to go up to the mojave desert, hike around joshua tree national park and stay at the route 66 wigwam motel. parts I and II of this plan went well, but not so much part III:

Oh man, I HATE that you had such an awful time here...but this is one of the funniest things I have ever read.

READ, mind you, not experienced. Poor dears. I vote new weekend getaway do over!

haha, i know. we stuck it out for the night because we felt like we HAD TO, for the love of the wigwam! of course it only went downhill from there. michael agrees on the vacation re-do (although the time we spent at joshua tree really was awesome!)

that sucks - it does look very charming. i went & read some of the yelp reviews - "We did laugh at the receipt which stated boldly, "No Refunds. No Prostitution" -- prompting us to wonder whether this had been a PROBLEM in the past. Eeek."

see, that's possibly the most amazing part of it all. we read tripadvisor reviews before going! it's the #1 hotel in the area, 91% of people would actually GO BACK!
