sea change.
i keep thinking i need something exciting to happen in my life to update this journal, but no, i really ought to just get back into regular practice of writing just for the sake of writing. the last few weeks have been interesting. personally, things are great (with health, friends, family, and of course the new, weird, wonderful cat) but with work ( Read more... ) -
the long and shore of it
the more time i spend at the ocean doing nothing, the more i am amazed that this is something instinctual and universal. all around the world, people are gathering at the edge of the water to do nothing, just like me. -
the state that i am in.
i'm headed out to stay at a state park not far from here again in the attempt to recover from a tough week, an out-of-control tax bill, and some general uneasiness. this morning i woke up in tears from a nightmare. it's beach time.

and now, i'll eat some müsli, i'll drive north & hopefully have a night of rest this -
