since working at Barnes and Noble, i've managed to read Wicked, Nikki Sixx's Heroin Diaries, Animal Farm, Love Is a Mix Tape, and Steve Martin's bio. as of now, i'm getting ready to finish a book called Things I've Learned from Women Who've Dumped Me, which is hilarious by the way. i'm thinking about reading Virgin Suicides next since i liked ( Read more... )

i had a baaaaaad experience with special brownies b/c the people who made it were pot smoking fiends. I had a quarter and ended up getting paranoid and high to the point that i threw up :-/ Not fun

it was sweet running into you that night, let's plan for something again soon.

Maybe the special brownies you had weren't made correctly. I've had them and they worked wonders.

I didn't like the virgin suicides that much, but it's been years since I read it. You should read The Gospel of Food. It's nonfiction/sociology and it's pretty interesting. If you're into science-religion thingys, you should read The God Delusion...it's super good.

i think i started reading the Gospel of Food once, but then again...memory = nad. i've seen the God Delusion at Barnes and Noble too so i might just have to do that.

-the kite runner (and the 2nd one, a thousand splendid suns)
-water for elephants
-world war z (about the zombie war...it's by the same guy who wrote the zombie survival handbook)
-i second lauren's opinion about margaret atwood....I AM THAT ROOMMATE! the blind assassin is good, and the robber bride is also really good.

i've heard of the Kite Runner and Water for Elephants since i see those at work on a regular basis.
World War Z sounds pretty neat.
i've heard of Atwood, but i haven't read her books.
