as somebody who will be in a similar situation in about 2 years, I'd say for it because it will pay off in the long run, and who knows... maybe the class that you end up taking will help you in the long run too.

I'd say go for it if you can find a second course that would be reasonably interesting (Well, I guess the interesting part isn't completely necessary, but probably a good idea. If you're anything like me, it's tough to really care about a class you only take for the hours, so it being interesting or kinda fun might help keep your attention. lol.).

Because Converse's schedules aren't great at working around work schedules and if it took a year for one course to fit into your schedule, it might take a really really long time for two English courses that fit into your schedule to be offered in the same semester. You know?

What class are you looking at taking?

From my understanding of the whole 2 class minimum you don't have to take both classes at the same school. 6 hours is a federal requirement so the feds don't care where you take them, even though Converse might tell you otherwise. Is there a class at another school you might be interested in taking? Maybe an online school or something at Spartanburg Tech that would be more interesting and possibly helpful for you? Depending on where you take the second class it will probably be cheaper as well...that's my 2 cents.

You may be interested to know that (last I checked) I'm the only grad assistant returning in the Fall, and they don't yet have replacements lined up. If you could fit it into your schedule, you wouldn't have to worry about paying or going half-time if you got financial aid.
