I can't believe I know someone that had a baby. I think it makes growing up seem all the more real. This weekend I've also discovered that at least two more people I know are engaged and both are just a shade over 21-years-old. It makes me wonder what the future will bring. Hopefully not a shit-ton of divorces

this whole growing up thing feels pretty insane and while i'm so happy for everyone who's getting married and having kids i know i'm totally not ready for it. i still have SO MUCH i wanna do before settling down. well the kids thing, marriage i think would be awesome. i'm one of those weirdo chicks who doesn't want kids until after 30 and while maybe i'll end up being an "old mom" i really don't care. my mom had me at 38 and she was awesome.

Yeah, I don't want kids either. Bethany wanted kids badly when we first started dating but now I think she's completely changed her mind. I think we're both totally selfish right now in terms of our lives. We want to travel, we want to go out, we want to do things for ourselves. We don't want to be tied down any more than we have to. I think it would be nice to have kids eventually but right now I think I'd make a terrible parent because I'm too self-involved in my own life.
