Long post is long, sorry.

Whenever I don't post on LJ for a while - and this is probably the longest I've ever gone; nearly two weeks! - I feel like I need to apologise/explain, but I don't know if people even notice this kind of thing? I've still been around, reading every day and commenting here and there, but I guess because I've been in a bit of a fannish slump I haven' ( Read more... )

Karen Gillan plays Amy! I agree, she has ridiculously pretty hair. And, dude, I'm glad you're enjoying Doctor Who! DALEKS TOMORROW. \o/

The cloud of DOOM isn't actually visible at all, although I heard news reports that maybe some ash would fall in Scotland? IDK if it actually did.

Most of my flist post a LOT less than they used to, for one reason and another. It's SO quiet these days!

Nottingham city centre's one way system is EVIL. Almost as bad as Bath's.

I read a review on Rufus in the Metro. I still haven't seen him and really feel I should, but I've not been keeping tabs on music stuff well enough to buy CDS when they come out, let alone go to gigs. I keep wondering where the old Hannah's gone off to!

Tories probably will win, but it'll be interesting to see where the Lib Dems get to. I'm just excited by the statistics of it all, which is lame, even checking where I have greater 'voting power'.

Yeah, a lot of the old crowd are quieter these days, so that plus a quieter fandom means there's not a lot happening on my flist outside of communities. I guess it's just one of those things, but it makes me sad.

I hope the Lib Dems make some significant gains, and certainly the debates will increase their exposure a lot, but I'm not expecting miracles. And I'd love to have some 'voting power', but sadly I live in a Tory stronghold now. :(

I'm just super depressed that the Tories are almost definitely going to win.. Same.
What is weird is that Milliband is at my grandparents house tonight because apparently he had an hour to kill in a fancy house in Sheffield but I've come back to Manchester today for Uni. I mean I'd still vote Labour and probably always will but that's still strange.
Tragic that we will probably be under Tory rule for up to 4/5 years! Creepy David Cameron.

In lighter news.. yeah Dr Who is amazing this season. Eccleston was my first, Tennant was MINE but I think Smith might be the fave... strange.

I can't bear the thought of David Cameron being our Prime Minister. :( Ugh, how awful.

It's early days but I think Matt Smith might just become my favourite Doctor too. He's quite Tennant-like at the moment, just a bit toned down, but it'll be interesting to see him come into his own.
