This is entirely jengrrrl's fault, but: I find myself tempted to sign up for apocabigbang. And that's bad, because a) I don't have a plot bunny, b) plot and world-building is not my strong suit, and c) I really don't need another big fic project on my plate.

I mean, there's already the 30k 80s AU, which I still haven't finished typing up, let alone started editing, ( Read more... )

I really want to sign up for apocabigbang too, but I'm worried I'll be setting myself too big a task, what with the mega-fic I'm already writing... but, hey, what's a bit of stress when Skins fic is involved?! Besides, if you're writing 50k of Skins joy then I'll use you as my inspiration and knuckle down :)

Everything you write is awesome - I'm besides excited to read what you've got coming up! Immense. I'll be keenly watching that new comm...

Good luck with it all!

You should sign up! It's only 10k, and rough drafts aren't due until February. :D

And thanks! ♥

DUDE! You're writing a 50k second year story?! That's tremendous- I really enjoy your work and my toes are literally twitching with excitement at the thought

(you're very sneaky, though,I had no idea you were working on another epic!)

Will the story feature all the characters? I'm absurdly attached to them all (sans the sponge) so I'm excited about a whole cast extravaganza.

For someone who claimed she don't post often, there's going to be a deluge of fics soon. Not that I'm complaining one iota.

It's going to mainly be an ensemble piece, although if I'm honest it'll mostly feature Emily/Naomi/Effy/Katie/JJ and the others will just have supporting roles. (I really want to include more Panda and Thomas, but I'm just drawing a massive blank when it comes to ideas for them.)

I'm thrilled it's going to be an ensemble piece- I love them all to pieces and I'm looking forward to both your take on all the characters and potential plot lines. I'm hoping it won't be better than season four, but you're talented and sometimes the muppet writers....aren't, so who knows.

I really want to include more Panda and Thomas, but I'm just drawing a massive blank when it comes to ideas for them.)I think Panda has unresolved issues with both Effy and Cook. Perhaps examining why she was acting out? Or at least, her and Effy need to work through things, because both characters care about each other deeply but are rubbish at expressing it (one of my favorite scenes of season three was Panda ripping into a devastated Effy after the pajama party. Good acting from Lisa and Kaya made me begin to care about their friendship ( ... )

I've always been really interested in Panda and Effy's friendship, so I think that's maybe the way to go if I want to involve Panda - and it would be interesting to bring Katie into that too, what with Panda blanking Effy at the hospital and Katie really just needing anybody to be her friend. Hmm!

You're right, I don't feel like I know Thomas well enough to give him his own storyline, so he'll probably just end up reacting to other people's.
