Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching

DOLLHOUSE

WARNING: REALLY PISSED OFF FANGIRL!

Okay so I've taken some creative license with this one because more people should have watched it and probably would have if it weren't for Fox's crap advertising practices. Much like Firefly, United States Fox only really promoted the show when it was about to air and while it was airing failed. I wasn't home watching Fox at the time because of college, but I heard from my mother, who watches American Idol and at the time House, that she didn't see one promo for Dollhouse as it was airing, which in my opinion ran the show into the ground. (As Olivia Williams, who plays Adelle DeWitt, tells it, she finds this a slap in the face as well.)

I have had many arguments with people as to whether it was the network or the quality of the show that made people it last only two seasons, and since the people who are making the quality argument has pretty much only seen "Ghost", I tend to fight to the death giving them as many spoilers as possible. (Even though I will admit that the first few episodes of the show are weak, but I also maintain episode pilots generally suck, so you can't judge an entire show on it.)

What I really think gave this show merit, was that it was very ahead of its time, I think at some point people will be picking up these DVDs and wondering where the hell it went. This show had drama, it had espionage, and it had interesting characters. When I was watching, I found the people who ran the Dollhouse very interesting and I wish we'd gotten more episodes with them, and with a third season maybe we would have. I think had Fox taken better care of the show from the get go and promoted it the same way it promotes all of its shitty reality TV then Dollhouse might have actually gotten a good shot.

FUCK YOU FOX!!!

Do I really need to explain why I hate Fox Network now?
