Chilling. My fave part is when he thinks it would have been more efficient to kill his father and dispose of the YED more readily that way. True. But ... shiver.
I've often thought about how things would have gone had Sam killed Jake, or prior to that, killed Dad when he was Azazel's meatsuit. It's interesting how Sam was always Dean's conscience until now, when the two of them have switched roles. And I do think Sam would think about things like this, even though he doesn't quite understand why he ever thought there was a dilemma. And yet he still knows there's a dilemma. Even if he doesn't understand what it is.
I like how you had him thinking about leaving Dean and then not being able to do it. We have to get the brotherly where we can right now!
