great work. I really like the part about Sam not remembering what exactly the djinn had done to him... and all the places where Sam showed mercy in the past not making sense to him.
It kind of makes me think that a Soul is made up of grace... the kind of grace that knows to grant mercy.
I really liked the loose tooth metaphor. Sam's confusion and uncertainty. Most of all I was intrigued by that moment in front of the cracked mirror! I could see something like that happening on the show.
TV being visual, we can't really know what's going on in Sam's head--even when he says things, it's challenging to interprete.
I want so badly for show to revisit the intrinsic connection between the boys that it used in Swan Song to enable Dean to enable Sam to save the world...
I love the idea of Sam spending those long hours trying to reconcile his old self with his current self. I especially loved how well you interpreted some of the seeming inconsistencies in his behavior on the show... that he himself doesn't understand why he's making these non-rational decisions where Dean is concerned. Very well done!
Soon, I hope. I'm actually enjoying it a lot. It is very interesting and he is funny. But I do want his soul back soon. My best guess would be right before christmas or something. Or right after, they can't drag it out too long can they?

Like just about everyone in fandom, this Sam-without-a-soul thing is making me crazy trying to figure out what he is not-feeling.
I want this to be resolved--in a positive way, please!
