@ odakota_rose- dude, my dreams are getting more exotic. Last time, we were going on a road trip, this time, I dreamt that you and I were on holiday in Fiji together!
Love the Jane/Lisbon picspam! Your comments are so right on- the shooting was such a wow moment. I also loved how Lisbon can't even more at first when she realizes the gravity of what Jane has done. And then even though there is no "thank you", we have him holding the back door of the police car open for her. Sweet.
Aww, thanks, glad you liked it! And yeah, I didn't mention it- I was too overwhelmed with shipper glee, I missed quite a few points, damn it- but I love that she's kind of frozen and just in shock. It's not having a gun in her face because come on, she's tougher than that and she's faced down baddies before but from realizing what Jane did.

Dude, I don't want to harsh your squee but...I think it was less a shippy little Jello moment and more of a 'people don't leave the police car til someone opens the door for them, they can't open the door on their own because we don't want suspects jumping out and making a bid for freedom'. I think. I'm not a cop, what do I know, right

Isn't Jane's helplessness in the face of a fight adorable? I feel like i should find him so cute when he cowers like that, but I just love how the writers are not trying to force this image of the self-sufficient Hercules who can take down opponents in hand to hand combat and shoot like Chuck Norris. What would he be? A Rambo who can read minds?AGREED. I just wanna squish him, lol

He is good at many things, but he has this vulnerability about him, it's one of his most endearing traits and I can't understand this need to make every male character into big macho men with a gun in each hand. I'm all for the role reversal we have here, it's great seeing the tiny baddass woman saving the guy.
AGREED. I love the way you put it- his vulnerability is endearing. Indeed. :D What is it with me and liking guys with a hint of vulnerability? Pretty much all the guys I'm obsessed with are broken or damaged in some way. Huh.
I meant it as him having "taken a level in baddassery", but I'd already started another train of thought, and the phrasing got weird there, lol.Oh, I wasn't laughing at you, if that's what you thought

the fact that Lisbon was almost crying when she gave the speech to Patrick was just beyon beautiful. She should have said "I need you" but I think she's afraid to admit it.They both have their own battles to fight before admiting they got the hots for each other *smiles*
ohh my ship is sooo freaking adorable *super squee*
The entire scene was utterly beautiful and raw and damn near perfect. I don't think she could've said that she needed him, I don't know if she even realizes it [interesting line of thought to pursue] or if she does, she's definitely afraid of admitting it, as you said.
What I love and didn't realize fully til now is that he as much as tells her that she can't fix him and yet she ignores it completely. I think that's the moment when her mood changes- she puts aside her own [subconscious or not] needs and focuses on trying to help him, support him, make him see the upside to an immensely crappy situation. It goes from intensely personal- near tears! shaking voice!- to pep talk 'I'm gonna prove you wrong, you're going to get through this whether you like it or not, through the force of my will'. I think it's interesting how she switches so rapidly, tucks all her emotions away just like that. She's such a nurturer. *cuddles Lisbon

Oooh, I love your Twilight/Roswell comparison. Except R&J should never be compared to Twilight. At all. I don't care what SMeyer says -- she is not Shakespeare. (As you can tell, I don't like Twilight much, eh?)
And your icon makes me smile for some reason, despite the fact I have no idea what it is. :p
*glees* Ha, so it wasn't as out there as I thought! Glad you liked it!
*snorts* Yeah, the R&J thing wasn't MY idea, it's all the Twihards who think their book is a literary masterpiece that will still be feted centuries from now. *gags* (Lol, you're anti-twilight? *gasps* I'd never have guessed!)
Aww, 'tis the power of [civiliant consultant with hypnotic powers] Patrick Jane and [The Boss] Teresa Lisbon. Of The Mentalist. Fantastic show that you should watch, sometime, when you have time to spare, because there is shippiness and squee galore. After SGA, I was so suspicious and distrustful of writers but these guys have restored my faith, which is such a powerful thing. I trust them to be true to the ship and not to break my heart. *quivers a little* It's kinda scary but I'm pretty sure I'm in good hands.
That icon? Jane says, FOR SERIOUS, 'I want to know what your face feels like when you're smiling'. *dies* And she smiles for him. *resurrects and dies again*
Lol, So got the Charlie Crews vibe, all he needed was the sunnies... How random, him picking an orange, I mean WTF. Is next seasons theme gunna be Orange? As soon as Kate Vernon answered the door I was like 'She did it! It was her! She's a cylon!!!'. She got resurrected as a mum (guh imagine Ellen Tigh as a mum! *shivers*)!
Random, IKR?! It came outta nowhere...I thought it was interesting how detached he was, Lisbon went up and got her hand shaken by the father and all, he just moseyed on over to the orange trees and stole himself an orange. Right, then. Well, I suppose it was bittersweet for him- there's that girl being reunited with her family and he's still alone, still hasn't caught Red John, but- if there's a metaphor? I'm not seeing it.
*g* I love your idea that next season's going to be 'Orange This' and 'Apricot That' and 'Tangerine the Other'.
I kinda wish Kate's character had done it! I was waiting the whole ep for a BSG shout out and got NOTHING. *pouts*
And oh gods, that's a terrifying visual. I'd rather be an orphan than have ELLEN TIGHT as my mother. *quails and runs*
