THE TULIPS ARE IN BLOOM!!!!!!!

or at least the first ones are starting to show colour.

Pictures (hopefully) to follow...eventually.

At least the squirrels didn't eat them!

I took a few pics with M's Minolta and then it started to rain.

I, ahem, still don't know how to load pics from the digital camera onto my computer. *blush*

I love tulip pictures :) There are red tulips blooming at the entrance of our neighborhood -- gorgeous!

There are two garden owls (see pic) and they each ate half. ;-)

I love tulips! Squirrels have not eaten mine (which are pretty much done - you must be further north) - but, some little bugger (and I'm guessing it's of the squirrel variety) is having a heyday in the planter I put lettuce in. *Growl*

Can't wait to see your tulip pics!

Bloodmeal on tulips seems to keep the squirrels away. You have to put it on when the tulips first come up and then directly on top of the buds just before they're going to open. Reapply after a rain.

I'm not sure it would work for lettuce. Supposedly it smells bad to the squirrels.

I'll take more pics tomorrow with both cameras.
